5 i Earlier today, British Airways said [1]credit card information
6 i of at least 380,000 customers have been "compromised" in a
7 i data breach that occurred between August 21 and September 5.
8 i The information stolen includes customer names, email
9 i addresses, home addresses and payment card information -- but
10 i not travel or passport details. Sky News reports:

12 i > In an email to affected customers, BA said: "We're deeply
13 i sorry, but you may have been affected. We recommend that you
14 i contact your bank or credit card provider and follow their
15 i recommended advice. We take the protection of your personal
16 i information very seriously. Please accept our deepest
17 i apologies for the worry and inconvenience that this criminal
18 i activity has caused." The breach has been "resolved" and the
19 i website is "working normally," it said. In a statement, the
20 i airline added: "We have notified the police and relevant
21 i authorities... [and] will continue to keep our customers
22 i updated with the very latest information. We will be
23 i contacting customers and will manage any claims on an
24 i individual basis."
